Liam Gallagher Performs ’Wonderwall’ With 14 Year-Old Fan

Tuesday, 16 April 2013 Written by Elliott Batte

Manchester rocker Liam Gallagher gave a 14 year-old fan a once in a lifetime opportunity this week - after inviting him to his dressing room for a performance of Oasis hit ‘Wonderwall’.

Lucky lad Reece Bibby is a massive fan of Oasis and Gallagher, and when he learned that Liam’s band Beady Eye were recording a brand new music video for ‘Flick of the Finger’ around the corner from his house, he grabbed his guitar and made his way to the Canine Club in Accrington - and sure enough, Liam and his crew were there.

After watching things go down, he caught the attention of Liam, who later invited him to his dressing room to chill. And then, when Bibby started strumming the opening chords of ‘Wonderwall’, Liam began to sing - kickstarting an impromptu performance that the teenager will probably never forget.

Speaking to Metro, Bibby explained:

“My hands were freezing and shaking, but I know the chords well. I couldn’t believe it when he started singing the opening line. He sang the verses and I joined in the choruses. It was amazing.”

Liam then reportedly signed his guitar - and even gave him a pair of his favourite aviator glasses to keep. You can check out a picture of the pair jamming on the right, courtesy of SCYHO’s Twitter page. What do you think of the news? Let us know in the comment box below.
