Fat Freddy's Drop Unveil Epic 'Clean The House' Video - Watch Now

New Zealand outfit Fat Freddy’s Drop have unveiled the brand new music video for their track ‘Clean the House’.
The band are set to release what will be their third studio album ‘Blackbird’ later this summer - June 24th to be exact - and following it’s first single ‘Silver and Gold, which was released on limited edition vinyl and as a free download last year (grab it here!), they’ve delivered new track ‘Clean the House’.
We advise you to lock up your dollies, as the band present a grindhouse marionette music video for the tune. Music video Director Mark Williams said the action on screen ticks all the bad-ass boxes - card games, drinking, gunfights and car chases.
Pulling the strings is puppeteer Jon Coddington, whose theatrical puppet fiction homage to cult film Pulp Fiction was a hit in the 2012 Wellington fringe festival. For ‘Clean the House’, Coddington painstakingly sculpted pint-sized marionettes of each of the seven band members, before adding the final touches; tiny instruments and bespoke suits designed by noted fashion designer Nell Styling.
Williams commented on the video:
“The marionettes are so amazing it wasn’t until the second day of shooting that I realised I wasn’t working with the ‘band’. Their live section performance is the best of their career and this video proves that not only are they excellent musicians, they can really act too.”
