Paris Jackson - the daughter of late superstar Michael Jackson - tried to commit suicide in the early hours of yesterday, according to reports circulating the web.
Although currently unconfirmed, Jackson’s second child and only daughter may have taken what is believed to be an overdose of an unknown substance, and was taken to hospital at around 2:00am (9am GMT). Angel Howansky, the long-time publicist of Paris’ grandfather Joe Jackson, has since revealed that she’s recovering, and stated that she’s ‘doing good’.
Howansky refused to reveal whether Paris had overdosed, cut her wrists, or taken any other route - but emergency officials in the area did state they had attended a potential overdose in the area, though they didn’t name the patient involved. Howansky has said of Paris:
“She's recovering and, you know, a good thing it wasn't an intensive care situation. She's going to be fine.”
The reasons behind the attempt are currently unknown, but Twitter has already filled up with positive messages from fans, with tons of people offering the young girl help - check out some of the tweets below.
Prior to the incident, Paris tweeted the lyrics to Paul McCartney’s hit track ‘Yesterday’, suggesting she had been upset. She’s currently embroiled in a lawsuit with AEG Live alongside a number of other Jackson family members, who are fighting a multi-million pound lawsuit claiming that the promoters played a part in the singer’s death in 2009.
We hope that Paris makes a full recovery, and that any troubles she’s suffering are overcome as quickly as possible - this is a sad story, and we at Stereoboard are thankful that Paris is still with us today. What do you think of thew news? Leave us a comment in the box below
