The Rolling Stones star Keith Richards has hinted that he and his bandmates could continue for at least another 10 years - suggesting they may be planning something for their 60th anniversary too.
The legendary rockers only just celebrated their 50th anniversary, and headlined the Saturday of last weekend’s Glastonbury festival in style. But, rather than reflect on what has been a rather successful year for the old-timers, Richards is already looking to the future - and it looks like we haven’t seen the last of them yet!
“I've been hooked on everything once or twice in my life. The one thing I can't kick is playing with The Rolling Stones. All these zeros that keep zooming by… 30, 40, 50 years. I don't really see any reason why there shouldn't be a 60th. Either that or we croak on the job.”
What do you think of the comments - would you like to see The Rolling Stones performing again in 2022? If that seems a little too far, you can still catch the band performing live in 2013 - their ‘50 and Counting’ tour isn’t over yet, and they’ve lined-up two massive gigs in Hyde Park for later this summer.
