Russell Brand Would Take 'Taxidermied Noel Gallagher' To Desert Island

Tuesday, 23 July 2013 Written by Elliott Batte

Actor, comedian, and all round personality Russell Brand has revealed the one thing he’d take to a desert island to make his life there more bearable - a taxidermied Noel Gallagher.

The funnyman turned a few heads with his choice, which was made during an interview with BBC Radio 4’s Kirsty Young for their segment Desert Island Discs, and explained that he’d love to see the High Flying Birds man ‘misrepresented’ by being dressed in one of his brother/arch rival Liam’s coats.

Asked by Young what his one item would be, he replied:

“You can't take a person, can you? I can't take Noel Gallagher as a luxury item, as a minstrel?”

When told that he could ‘take him stuffed’, he said:

“That’s the perfect thing. I'd like a taxidermied Noel Gallagher, perhaps somehow misrepresented – like wearing one of Liam’s jackets. I've got my stuffed Noel Gallagher to worship and dress up, if I want to. I can do what I like to him. It’ll be a mockery of that man on that island.”

After that bombshell, Brand revealed his actual Desert Island Discs choices - you can check them out below. If his Gallagher comments tickled you, you may be interested know he’s heading out on UK tour later this year - if that sounds like your cup of tea, check the dates and links underneath his Desert Island Discs to find Russell Brand tickets through Stereoboard!
