M.I.A Threatens To Leak Her New Album In Label Dispute

Friday, 09 August 2013 Written by Elliott Batte

M.I.A has threatened to leak her new album 'Matangi', having become frustrated with her label, Interscope.

The hip hop star threatened to leak the record online as early as next week after becoming irritated by delays, although Pitchfork now reports that the album has been given a November 5 release slot. Writing via Twitter, she said:

Earlier this year, M.I.A previewed the first single from the record, 'Bring the Noize'. The track - which mixes sharp beats, dissonant samples and M.I.A's distinctive rhymes - was given a first spin by Zane Lowe on his Radio One show on June 17. You can check it out embedded below.
