65daysofstatic will release their sixth studio album ‘Wild Light’ on September 16, and now the band have revealed an innovative online remix project for the track Prisms.
Designed by the band themselves, the interactive tool lets fans have a go at manipulating and remixing the track in a unique visual environment. Check it out for yourselves here.
The band had this to say about the project: "While the NSA and GCHQ and all the other rotten hearts in dreamland try to see your every move and dream your every dream, we’ve tried to vaporise our musical thoughts and hide them in code. Now you can manipulate them as the powers that be will one day manipulate you! Point, click, BOOM.
"We thought it’d be cool to try and recreate that feeling when you fall asleep with nothing but the screen as a nightlight and wake up the next day with a head full of fragments. That the internet pervaded your dreams and planted in it a white grid in a black room and you have to find your own way with nothing but a touchpad and your innate pattern recognition for company."
During the past few weeks, 65daysofstatic have let loose several teasers into the world wide web revealing details on their forthcoming new album.
'Wild Light tracklisting is as follows:
1. Heat Death Infinity Splitter 2. Prisms 3. The Undertow 4. Blackspots 5. Sleepwalk City 6. Taipei 7. Unmake The Wild Light 8. Safe Passage
The band still has some festival appearances scheduled for this summer, as well as the already announced UK and European tour dates where Australian band Sleep-Makes-Waves have been announced as support.
