'N Dubz Reunion Depends On Success Of My Solo Album', Says Fazer

Wednesday, 14 August 2013 Written by Elliott Batte

Fazer has claimed that an N Dubz reunion depends on the success of his own solo record, following the bad press that his former bandmates have attracted recently.

The rapper, songwriter and producer is working on solo material that he hopes will turn into his debut album, which will likely hit shelves in 2014. But, according to BBC Newsbeat, he's revealed that an N Dubz reunion could eventually be on the cards - depending on his own success.

He said in an interview:

"It's going to capitalise on the bad press we've had in the past with the other two members and I think it's going to take someone like me to come through now 'cos it's a fresh clean slate. You never see me in the tabloids. All I'm known for is doing the music and keeping my head down, and I think that's what it needs to make an impact for any sort of drive for a reunion."

Addressing the 'bad press' his ex-bandmates, Tulisa and Dappy, had attracted, Fazer said:

"I'm not frustrated because it comes with being in the media. No-one's perfect and we're still growing up. I'm not mad at anyone because it happens, but you won't be seeing me in the press for anything but music."
