Plans To Celebrate Amy Winehouse's 30th Birthday Unveiled

Tuesday, 20 August 2013 Written by Elliott Batte

Plans to celebrate the 30th birthday of late British soul singer Amy Winehouse have been unveiled, via the Amy Winehouse Foundation.

The singer sadly passed away back in 2011 and on September 14 of this year, she would have turned 30. Though the talented Londoner can’t be with us today, plans to celebrate her birthday with a month-long series of events have been announced, giving fans the chance to reminisce and remember Amy like never before.

The Amy Winehouse Foundation has described it as "a month long series of pop up events taking place throughout Amy’s beloved Camden organised by the Amy Winehouse Foundation and supported by numerous local venues and businesses", and they’ve got some big and exciting things in their diary.

Running under the #Amys30 hashtag, plans include a mass parachute jump with her mother Janis and Mayor of Camden Jonathan Simpson, a street party, and a party at the Barfly hosted by Jubilee. The festivities will kick off with a launch party at The Horse Hospital, which will see Proud Gallery Camden offering fans an "exclusive opportunity to view unseen artwork and photography’, as well as "enjoying a night of music from renowned DJs".
