Indie-pop newcomers London Grammar and folk star Laura Marling have been made bookies’ favourite to win the Barclaycard Mercury Prize 2013.

The shortlist for the prestigious award is set to be revealed by Lauren Laverne at the Hospital Club in London on Wednesday September 11, and ahead of the unveiling, bookies have revealed their favourites to go on to win the prize on October 30.

Set for a 5:30pm kick-off, you can catch the shortlist announcement live on Channel 4. Afterwards, you can head to the bookies to put money on who you reckon will find success - it looks like  London Grammar are your best bet sitting high at 15/8 with ‘With You Wait’.
