New Avril Lavigne Track 17 Leaks

Tuesday, 10 September 2013 Written by Elliott Batte

Canadian pop-rock star Avril Lavigne has leaked brand new track, 17, onto the net.

The new track has been taken from her forthcoming self-titled new record, which is set to hit shelves on November 5 having had its release date pushed back. It follows on from platinum-selling Top 20 single Here’s to Never Growing Up and latest extract Rock 'n' Roll.

Co-produced by Lavigne, Chad Kroeger, Martin Johnson and David Hodges, 'Avril Lavigne' came together in the spring of 2012 and was recorded over the past year at Henson Studios. Featuring 13 tracks, the release will be the fifth studio album for the multi platinum, award-winning singer-songwriter - you can pre-order it from September 24 here.

Speaking to Billboard about the record, Avril said:

"The record's really diverse. Basically, this album I wanted to still have... emotional, heartfelt ballads, but I also wanted to make this record a little more upbeat and feel-good. And that's also the place that I'm in in my life."

Check out the new track below and keep your eyes peeled for the album in November - she may hit the UK on tour in support of the album, so stay with us to stay up-to-date!
