Om Unit Lines Up New Album

Thursday, 12 September 2013 Written by Elliott Batte

Production powerhouse Om Unit has announced details of a brand new record.

The former hip-hop man (some of you may remember 2tall) has enjoyed a new wave of success since kickstarting his new Om Unit moniker, and has now lined-up his first ever album under the name, ‘Threads’.

Though some may umbrella him as a drum and bass artist, in reality, there’s not really an umbrella big enough to fit the styles and genres Om Unit touches on, and these 15 new tracks are likely to prove his critics that he can do it all.

Out on October 28 as a full CD or double LP release, it sees him stretching across his new favourite genre drum and bass, it’s loving ancestor jungle, and it’s bastard son dubstep , while he still finds time to pay tribute to his roots via the means of hip-hop, and he’s even had a stab at house too.

He’s also enlisted the help of a number of vocalists, and the record features collabs with the likes of Gone the Hero, MC Jabu, Jinadu, and Charlie Dark. For now, you can check out the tracklisting below, but keep your eyes peeled for some previews soon!

Tracklist:

1. Folding Shadows
2. The Silence (feat. Jinadu)
