David Bowie has released a new version of his 1977 hit Sound and Vision.
The track, which hit #3 in the charts all those years ago, taken from the platinum-selling album of the same name, was remixed by Sonjay Prabhakar for use in an advert for the Xperia Z smartphone earlier this year.
Now, having unveiled an official lyric video last week, Bowie has made the track available to buy via iTunes now.
The new track comes ahead of a deluxe reissue of the Thin White Duke's latest album ‘The Next Day’, entitled ‘The Next Day Extra’, which drops on November 4 and features a host of new tracks and remixes - including James Murphy’s new refix of Love is Lost, and a Venetian remix of I’d Rather Be High.
‘The Next Day Extra’ is set to be spread over three discs, and in addition to the 14-track original version, fans will also receive new cuts Like A Rocket Man, Born in a UFO, The Informer, and Atomica. There’s also God Bless the Girl, which was previously only available on Deluxe and Japanese versions of the album.
