Veteran British rockers the Rolling Stones could be planning to hit the road for a world tour in 2014, according to guitarist Ronnie Wood.
Wood revealed to the Sun that the band will hook up in February next year for another run of live shows. The Stones' last live appearances were in June and July, when they performed two massive shows at London’s Hyde Park almost 44 years to the day after they played their legendary free show there in 1969. The band also headlined Glastonbury Festival.
"While the big wheel is rolling we are going to capture it before it stops totally."
In other news, the band have announced the November 11 release of ’Sweet Summer Sun - Hyde Park Live’, a new DVD that captures their historic return to London earlier this year. Wood added that he and the band were overwhelmed by the response to the recent 50th anniversary gigs: "Everybody had a smile on their face, which was brilliant," he said.
The DVD will feature the entire two-hour concert and include highlights and unseen backstage footage.
