Pharrell Williams Launches 24-Hour Music Video

Monday, 25 November 2013 Written by Elliott Batte

Pharrell Williams has launched an innovative 24-hour music video for his track Happy.

With the help of directing duo We Are From L.A. and a hard-working film crew, who walked nearly eight miles a day for 11 days, Williams has put together the first ever 24-hour music video for the track, which features in the Despicable Me 2 film.

You can visit the Happy page here, where you’ll be taken to the exact moment in the music video that your computer time corresponds to. At the start of every hour, Pharrell performs the track for its duration. After that, there are 14 unique four-minute cameos until Pharrell does his thing again.

It’s already racked up over 2,170,000 views and counting, with Steve Carell, Jamie Foxx, Tyler, The Creator, Earl Sweatshirt, Jimmy Kimmel, Magic Johnson and Kelly Osbourne among the stars who make cameo appearances.
