Katie Melua Shares Where Does The Ocean Go? Music Video

Wednesday, 08 January 2014 Written by Jon Stickler

Prior to her Simplified Tour, Katie Melua releases Where Does The Ocean Go? from her sixth studio album ‘Ketevan’.

Written by Katie with Mike and Luke Batt, the song is inspired by Samuel Taylor Coleridge’s The Rime Of The Ancient Mariner

Following the September 16 release of 'Ketevan', Katie performed a special 10th anniversary concert at The Roundhouse in London before embarking on a European Autumn tour. In March and April 2014 Katie will return to the stage on her Simplified Tour that will see her performing a stripped-down set accompanied by just bass and keyboards.

“I know this will test me as a musician like never before but I love the purity and nakedness of performing with hardly any accompaniment. I have always included one or two stripped down songs in my previous gigs but never a whole tour like this. There is nothing to hide behind. Perhaps describing it as acoustic isn't completely accurate, as there will be keyboards and bass, so the tour is called 'Simplified'.

I'm unbelievably proud to have released Ketevan and though I'll be singing some of the new songs from 'Ketevan' the Simplified tour will cover a wide range of material from all the albums. For anyone who knows my music I hope they will enjoy hearing the songs in this new format. For anyone who might be curious, I hope to share the excitement of something new.”

The tour will start in Russia on March 23 and will take in Estonia, Lithuania, Denmark, Germany, Poland, Austria, Switzerland, Belgium and the UK, before ending in Spain on April 19 2014.

Katie Melua UK & Ireland Tour Dates are as follows
