Red Hot Chili Peppers Could Cover Led Zeppelin At 2014 Super Bowl

Tuesday, 28 January 2014 Written by Elliott Batte

Red Hot Chili Peppers could cover a track by the legendary Led Zeppelin at the upcoming Super Bowl halftime show.

Anthony Kiedis and co. line-up alongside chart star Bruno Mars at the gargantuan sporting event, where the halftime entertainment traditionally features superstar performers. Last year, fans were treated to a selection of songs performed by Beyonce and Destiny’s Child.

Chilis drummer Chad Smith told Artisan News that they were going to "play Led Zeppelin’s live version of ‘Dazed and Confused." It's worth taking Smith's words with a pinch of salt, though, as the track used to run to an unruly 45 minutes during Zep's heyday.

The 2014 Super Bowl takes place this Sunday, February 2. Will you be tuning in? Leave us a comment in the box below!
