Van Morrison To Headline Cambridge Folk Festival's 50th Anniversary

Van Morrison will headline the Cambridge Folk Festival in 2014, to celebrate the famous event's 50th anniversary.

The legendary songwriter will be joined by Sinead O'Connor, who will top the bill on Friday night, Ladysmith Black Mambazo, Richard Thompson, Rosanne Cash, Afro Celt Sound System, Loudon Wainwright III, the Full English, featuring Fay Hield, Seth Lakeman, Martin Simpson, Nancy Kerr, Sam Sweeney, Rob Harbron and Ben Nicholls, Cara Dillon, Pokey LaFarge, Peggy Seeger, Jason Isbell, Lúnasa, Catrin Finch & Seckou Keita and Sarah Jarosz.

More acts are set to be announced in the near future, with festival manager Eddie Barcan keen to get underway. He said: "We intend to celebrate 50 years of amazing music and great times in style this coming summer and look forward to welcoming everyone to Cambridge in July."

Full weekend tickets are priced at £138, with passes for Thursday at £21, Friday at £50 and Saturday and Sunday at £60. For more information, including camping fees, head to the website.
