Swn, a Cardiff-based music festival, has been crowned Best Small Festival at the 2014 NME Awards.

Swn, which was launched by Radio 1 DJ Huw Stephens and music promoter John Rostron in 2007 to celebrate new music coming in and out of Wales, was shortlisted among other Welsh festivals, including Portmeirion's Festival Number 6 and Brecon's Green Man, as well as RockNess in Scotland, Y Not in Derbyshire and Kendal Calling.

Last year, the four-day Swn Festival saw 200 artists perform at various venues throughout the city.
