MUNA have shared another single from their upcoming fourth album.
Pairing introspective lyrics with a punchy synth-pop groove, So What arrives with a video and offers a sombre reflection on fame. The band explained:
"We’re at the point in our career where we’ve been to a lot of fancy parties in beautiful rooms with important people, and we know the particular sadness of realizing it doesn’t make you feel better. We’ve learned the hard way that validation is hollow and we actually just want connection. This is a song about going to one of those parties and leaving worse off than when we got there."
The track serves as a second preview of 'Dancing On The Wall', which the Los Angeles-based trio introduced last month, confirming its May 8 release and sharing its title track.
They'll celebrate the album with intimate shows at The Shrine in Los Angeles on release day and the following day, the Music Hall Of Williamsburg in New York on May 16, 17, 18 and 19, and London's Heaven on May 26, 27 and 28. They'll also play BBC Radio 1's Big Weekend in Sunderland in May and Hinterland festival in Saint Charles, Iowa in July. Tickets are on sale now.
