MUNA Announce Fourth Album 'Dancing On The Wall' And Accompanying US & UK Shows

MUNA have announced their fourth album.
The Los Angeles-based band will release 'Dancing On The Wall' on May 8, following up their 2022 self-titled LP. Produced by the band's own Naomi McPherson, the album is previewed by the title track, which serves up a dancefloor-ready '80s-inspired synth‑pop sound, which the trio describe as, "possibly our favorite song we’ve made as a band." They explained:
"We think it’s all the best parts of MUNA - it’s coming from a really emotional and lonely place, but the song itself makes us feel powerful and euphoric. It’s written in the moment that the clock strikes midnight at the ball, and you have to give up the fantasy. In this case, it’s the fantasy of loving someone or something that can’t love you back."
Along with the new music, they've announced they'll celebrate 'Dancing On The Wall' with intimate shows at The Shrine in Los Angeles on May 8, Music Hall Of Williamsburg in New York on May 16, 17 and 18, and London's Heaven on May 26, 27 and 28. Tickets for the London dates go on general sale at 10am on February 20.
Since their last studio album, the trio released a live record, 'Live At The Greek Theatre In Los Angeles', in 2024, capturing their 2023 performance at the iconic venue. They also put out the standalone single One That Got Away in 2023.
Vocalist Katie Gavin, meanwhile, released her debut solo album, 'What A Relief', in 2024.
