Another headliner has been announced for Glasgow's Big Nights Out concert series.
The Damned will take the stage at the Kelvingrove Bandstand on June 7, joining previously confirmed headliners Aldous Harding, Level 42, The Stranglers, Peter Hook and The Light, Mànran, Cast, Fisherman's Friends, and Sparks.
The Damned — Dave Vanian on vocals, Captain Sensible on guitar, Rat Scabies on drums, Paul Gray on bass and long-time keyboardist Monty Oxymoron — recently released 'Not Like Everybody Else', a covers album dedicated to founding guitarist Brian James, who passed away in March last year aged 70. Their latest studio album, 'Darkadelic', dropped in 2023, followed by two live records in 2024.
Before the summer, the band will mark their 50th anniversary with a career-spanning celebration at London's OVO Arena Wembley on April 11, joined by special guests The Loveless featuring Marc Almond, Peter Hook and The Light, and The Courettes.
They'll also play Bearded Theory Festival in Derbyshire in May, and later in the summer they'll support Hollywood Vampires at Cardiff Castle as part of the Depot Live series and the Colchester Castle Summer Series.
