L'Wren Scott, fashion designer and girlfriend of Mick Jagger, has been found dead in her New York City apartment.
Scott, 49, was found by her assistant at the Manhattan apartment at 10:00 local time (14:00 GMT), the BBC reports.
With no immediate suspicion of foul play, police are treating the death as a suicide, although a medical examiner is yet to officially determine an official cause of death.
A spokesman for Mick Jagger has said that the Rolling Stones vocalist was 'completely shocked and devastated'. When asked if the two were still in a relationship at the time of her death, he replied ‘of course’. Jagger is currently in Australia on tour with the band.
