The Coral have announced a hometown date as part of their 388 UK and Ireland tour.
Due to demand, the Merseyside quintet will take the stage at the O2 Academy Liverpool on October 31 for their first performance in the city since the band curated a one-off, sold-out Late Summer Night’s Scream at Grand Central Hall last August.
The tour will see the band playing a mix of intimate dates and arena shows this autumn, including stops at Sheffield's Foundry, Newcastle's Boiler Shop, Leeds' Project House, London's KOKO, Manchester's Albert Hall and Birmingham's O2 Institute between October 2 and 24.
Dave McCabe of The Zutons will support the Sheffield show, while Mozart Estate will feature on the remaining dates. The Coral will also support The Mary Wallopers at Brighton Centre, Dublin's 3Arena and Glasgow's OVO Hydro on October 17, December 10 and 19, respectively.
The dates mark The Coral's first headline outing in three years and support their 13th album, '388', released in May.
Before the tour, The Coral will continue their summer festival run with appearances at Kendal Calling this weekend, and Southsea's Victorious Festival and the Cotswolds' The Big Feastival before supporting The Courteeners at their homecoming show at Manchester's Wythenshawe Park next month.
Tickets for thier new Liverpool show go on general sale at 9.30am on Friday (July 31), while their other dates are on sale now.
