Carl Barat And The Jackals Announce London XOYO Show

Carl Barât will play his first gig with his new band, the Jackals, at London's XOYO on May 15.
The Libertines and Dirty Pretty Things man has also unveiled details of a new album, set for release in September. Earlier this year, Barât revealed that he had recorded a handful of demos for a follow up to his 2010 self-titled debut solo album. However, he said he wouldn't release any of the new material until he had formed a new band.
After posting an advert for a drummer, bassist and rhythm guitarist on Facebook, and receiving over 1000 applications, Barât selected guitarist Billy Tessio, bassist Adam Claxton and drummer Jay Bone.
