On June 9 Monty Python’s classic 1989 album, 'Monty Python Sings' will be reissued as 'Monty Python Sings (again)' on Virgin EMI records.
The reissue will hit shelves just weeks ahead of the Pythons' anticipated Monty Python Live (Mostly) shows at London’s O2 Arena, where they will be performing much of the classic material from the album.
Released on two remastered CD formats, both including a 32-page booklet of lyrics, 'Monty Python Sings (again)' will contain brand new recordings, never-before-released gems from the Python archive and remixed Terry Gilliam cover artwork. The deluxe edition box set also contains a bonus disc featuring their debut album, 'Monty Python’s Flying Circus', recorded live at Camden Town Hall in May 1970.
One of the never-before-heard archive tracks, Lousy Song, conceived and performed by Eric Idle and the late Graham Chapman and originally recorded during sessions for the 'Monty Python’s Contractual Obligation Album' in 1980, is available as an instant download when you pre-order 'Monty Python Sings (Again)' from Amazon or iTunes.
