Palace Reveal Head Above The Water Video

Monday, 27 July 2015 Written by Laura Johnson

Palace have revealed the video for their new single, Head Above The Water.

The track, which is set for release September 7, features on the London four piece's latest EP, ‘Chase The Light’. Discussing the video, which you can watch below, director Oliver Hadlee Perch said:

"When you are swept up by a wave, you are caught underwater. Not knowing which way is up or down, left or right. This was sort of the starting point for this video. This idea of confusion. Concussion even. Dreams played a big part in this film. How many different scenes can sit side by side harmoniously. I wanted to try and create mini narratives which all lead the same way yet are completely removed from each other. Tied together. Across the video we want the audience to be hypnotized, drawn in yet not knowing why or how.”

Palace have lined up dates for their debut UK headline tour. The tour will kick off with a set at Norwich's Sound and Visions Festival on October 8, before headline shows in Reading, Oxford, Birmingham, Nottingham, Bristol, Brighton, London, Leeds, Newcastle, Manchester, Edinburgh and Glasgow, winding up with an appearance at the Swn Festival in Cardiff on November 7. Tickets are on sale now, priced from £6.50 (£10.00 in London), plus fees.
