Charlie Barnes To Release Reworked Version Of 'More Stately Mansions' Title Track In October

Thursday, 10 September 2015 Written by Laura Johnson

Charlie Barnes will release a reworked version of the title track of his recent released debut album, 'More Stately Mansions', in October.

Discussing the single, due October 23, Barnes said:

“Everybody involved in the album was in fairly unanimous agreement that the main vocal hook on this song is one of the record's major highlights, so we decided it made sense to at least attempt to rip it apart and put it back together again as something more linear. I almost see this version as more of a remix than an edit. Because some of the sections were a little bit difficult to fit together in a different order, I had to come up with a few new parts and sound effects to help smooth things over. Nothing's been lost from the original as such, it's just been reimagined.”

In the meantime, check out the album version of the song below.

To support the single, Barnes will play a run of headline dates across the UK, starting at Leicester's Firebug on October 7.
