Alice Cooper, Rick Wakeman, Marillion And More Confirmed For Inaugural London Stone Free Festival

Wednesday, 11 November 2015 Written by Jon Stickler

Alice Cooper, Rick Wakeman and Marillion are among the first acts confirmed to perform at the inaugural Stone Free Festival next summer.

Taking place at the O2 Arena in London on June 18 and 19, the new classic rock festival will see shock rock icon Alice Cooper headline the Saturday, while prog legend Rick Wakeman will top the bill on Sunday, with a world exclusive performance of his third studio album, 'The Myths And Legends Of King Arthur And The Knights Of The Round Table', in full, for the first time since its release in 1975.

Discussing his appearance, Cooper said:

“Coming to the UK is always like coming home for us, fans in the UK are always high energy, always there. Headlining the very first STONE FREE FESTIVAL at London’s The O2 in June next year is an example of why we feel so welcome.  It will be my only performance in the UK next year, so that makes it even more special.  And as always with my show you can expect the unexpected!"

The festival will also host sets from Blackberry Smoke, Steve Hackett and many more acts still to be announced, across multiple stages.

Tickets are on general sale at 10am on November 20.

Stone Free Festival Upcoming Tour Dates are as follows:

Sat June 18 2016 - LONDON O2 Arena
Sun June 19 2016 - LONDON O2 Arena
