RAY BLK has unveiled the video for her latest single, Chill Out.
The track features SG Lewis and comes from her mini-album, 'Durt', which was released in October. Filmed in Portland, Jamaica, the video features the Gully Queens, an LGBT community from Kingston, and documents the effects of homophobia in the country.
“Shooting this video was the most eye opening experience," RAY BLK said of the clip. "I saw how different life is outside of the western world where there are people losing their lives because of who they are. I believe if you see injustice and do nothing, you're part of the problem. So, after hearing about the Gully Queens, I thought it was something that needed to be brought more to light. In the process I got to meet these incredibly strong women who were so happy in the face of adversity. I feel like this video solidifies what the song is about, which is female empowerment."
RAY BLK is set to play London’s Village Underground in February 2017.
RAY BLK Upcoming Tour Dates are as follows:
Mon February 27 2017 - LONDON Village Underground
