Airbourne Finally Ready To Rock

Wednesday, 17 May 2006 Written by Troy Daniel
ImageAustralian Retro-rockers Jet, The Vines and  the mighty Wolfmother, have been blazing a feedback drenched trail through the UK in recent years.   Next in line are four AC/DC loving former sheep shearers in the form of the black clad Airbourne.

Most of us who caught this electrifying band either at the Big Day Out or during their national tour last year (the lads also opened for Motley Crue in Melbourne), will be happy to know that the new album is finally coming out, probably at the end of July, according to those close to the band.  The boys are currently in Los Angles finishing up the their long awaited debut full length CD, and are looking to release their first Australian single, hopefully, in August.

The as yet untitled record will be the follow up to the "Ready To Rock" EP, basically a collection of high quality demos only available at the bands show's last year.  Fans of the band will note that the website has not been updated in a while but will be happy to know that a new updated version is in progress and should be up and running by the end of the week.
