Katie Von Schleicher has shared a video for Midsummer.
The song features on her debut LP, 'Shitty Hits', which was released this summer. The video, meanwhile, was filmed, directed and edited by Matthew Lee Strickland. Speaking about it, Katie said:
"The initial concept sprung from the video for Whitesnake's "Is This Love." We're making fun of the low-concept male rock video format, complete with intolerable guitar shredding, face making and a lovely yet narratively-undeveloped girlfriend. But I think we're upping the level of absurdity here: we have a horse."
The Brooklyn-based musician is currently supporting Big Thief on their European tour, which will head to the UK later this week, and amidst which she has lined up a headline show in York on November 7. She will also play The Great Escape First Fifty show at the Hoxton Square Bar and Kitchen in London on November 22.
