The Go! Team Share Video For Mayday

Tuesday, 30 January 2018 Written by Laura Johnson

The Go! Team have shared a video for Mayday.

The track features on their new album, 'Semicircle', which was released earlier this month through Memphis Industries.

Discussing the video, director James Slater said:

"The video depicts a woman in trouble, heartbroken and trapped in a flood of her own tears. Like most of The Go! Team videos I've made, it's a full-on, coffee-fueled collage of mixed media. This one is a collision of stop frame animation, archive flood disaster footage, rotoscoped singers, and a crestfallen girl, who are all framed behind a storm of paper tears."

The Go Team Upcoming Tour Dates are as follows

Fri February 09 2018 - GLASGOW Queen Margaret Union
Sat February 10 2018 - LEEDS Wardrobe
Sun February 11 2018 - BRIGHTON Concorde 2
Thu February 15 2018 - LONDON Electric Ballroom
Fri February 16 2018 - NEWCASTLE UPON TYNE Riverside
Sat February 17 2018 - MANCHESTER Gorilla

Album four from Edinburgh's We Were Promised Jetpacks is, in their own words, about going back to basics. Since 2014’s ‘Unravelling’ they’ve changed management and label, both potential pitfalls, while recording was undertaken in the US with producer Jonathan Low. Running alongside these changes on ‘The More I Sleep The Less I Dream’ is the switch back to their original four man configuration and something approximating the style of their early releases.

Remix albums don’t always work. The best examples refresh and reveal elements of the original songs, giving them new life and often broadening their appeal. When they fail, it is often because the tracks lack the integrity and consistency of the source material.
