Phoebe Bridgers Reveals Moving Video For 'Stranger In The Alps' Track Killer

Thursday, 13 December 2018 Written by Helen Payne

Phoebe Bridgers has released a video for Killer, a cut from her 2017 LP 'Stranger In The Alps'.

The Gus Black-directed video depicts the Los Angeles-based singer in suitably sad monochrome lighting, wandering around the Joshua Tree area of California in a spectral, eerie haze. Black noted:

“I thought this location was visually perfect for Phoebe’s performance. The fact that it happened to be an abandoned tuberculosis asylum was convenient.”

After a breakthrough couple of years with success on both sides of the Atlantic, Bridgers has recently been touring the US with Julien Baker and Lucy Dacus as the trio Boygenius, as well as playing various festivals and opening for artists such as the National, the War On Drugs and Conor Oberst.
