Chance The Rapper Postpones North American Tour To Spend Time With Family

Tuesday, 10 September 2019 Written by Jon Stickler

Chance The Rapper has postponed most of the dates on his upcoming tour.

The Chicago artist has decided to pull the dates to spend time with his family, after the birth of his second daughter Marli. He wrote on social media:

"When Kensli was born, I went on tour two weeks later and missed some of the most important milestones in her life, but more importantly I was absent when her mother needed me the most. At this point as a husband and father of two I realize that I can't make that mistake again. I need to be as helpful and available as possible to my wife in these early months of raising Kensli and Marli."

The rapper was due to hit the road to support his debut album, 'The Big Day', which arrived earlier this year. Most of the his dates will be moved to 2020, while his hometown show in Chicago on September 28 and two festival sets in Las Vegas and Miami remain unaffected. Tour promoter Live Nation said in a statement:

"We congratulate Chance on the birth of his daughter and support him while he takes time to be with his family. We are thrilled to welcome him back on the road in 2020."

Chance The Rapper Upcoming Tour Dates are as follows

Sat September 28 2019 - CHICAGO Illinois - United Center (USA)
