Tool have added a spring leg to their North American tour plans.
The new trek kicks off on April 16 in Miami and includes a festival appearance at Bonnaroo, which takes place on June 12. The run wraps up on June 23 in San Francisco, with tickets for the majority of shows going on general sale at 10am local time on February 28. Sales for the Sioux Falls and St. Louis gigs follow at midday. Alt-rock act Blonde Redhead open all shows from April 16 to May 5.
The Los Angeles proggers are touring in support of their latest album, 'Fear Inoculum', which arrived last summer ending a 13-year silence. They wrap up the sold-out Australasian leg of the tour with two dates in New Zealand later this week.
The band recently scooped the award for Best Metal Performance at the 62nd annual Grammy Awards last month for 7empest, the closer from the album. It's title track also earned them a nomination for Best Rock Song.
