Everything Everything have unveiled a new track from their upcoming album.

Planets is the third song shared from the Manchester band’s fifth album ‘Re-Animator’, due August 21. A melodic slow burn, it delivers further musical variety following the energetic Arch Enemy and celestial In Birdsong.

Frontman Jonathan Higgs directed the visual for Planets, learning rudimentary puppetry techniques during lockdown. It follows a chimpanzee suffering existential crisis, trying to understand his own importance in a universe of such unfathomable size. Higgs said: “Planets is a song about calling out to be loved, feeling unworthy and finding the love of the universe instead.”
