Lightning Seeds have shared a new track, Emily Smiles.
Following Sunshine and Walk Another Mile, the song marks the third preview of the Ian Broudie-led band's upcoming LP, 'See You In The Stars ', which is due out on October 14 via BMG.
Co-penned with The Specials singer Terry Hall, the bright, catchy track is jammed with rich poppy melodies and catchy hooks, with vocal harmonies redolent of The Beach Boys. Head below to watch its video, directed by James Slater. Brodie commented:
"Emily Smiles is about miscommunication and lives being changed by small moments and random events. It’s about desperation and the distances between us being unlocked with the magic inside a smile."
Lightning Seeds will support the follow-up to 2009's 'Four Winds' with a UK tour this autumn, joined by special guest Badly Drawn Boy.
