Foster the People is an American indie pop band from Los Angeles, California, featuring frontman and multi-instrumentalist Mark Foster and drummer Mark Pontius.

Formed in 2009, the band first gained attention for their track, Pumped Up Kicks, which reached #3 in the Billboard Hot 200. Their first album, ‘Torches’, was released in 2011, and was followed by ‘Supermodel’ in 2014. Bass player Cubbie Fink left the band in 2015.

Their next record, 'Sacred Hearts Club', hit shelves in July 2017.
