Ladytron are a British electronic, new wave and shoegaze band. Formed in Liverpool in 1999, the group consists of Helen Marnie, Mira Aroyo, Daniel Hunt and Reuben Wu.
The early years consisted of a handful of EPs, until their debut album, '601' was released in spring 2001 (Later re-released in 2011), which featured the singles He Took Her to a Movie, Playgirl, and The Way That I Found You, bringing the band some national and international attention. They followed up with four more albums: 'Light and Magic' in 2002, 'Witching Hour' in 2005, 'Velocifero' in 2008 and 'Gravity The Seducer' in 2011. After a hiatus, Ladytron returned in spring 2018 with news of UK shows - their first since 2011, and a new album on the way. They released it as a self-titled record in February 2019, and now have tour plans in the UK for October 2019.
