Rick Wakeman To Perform Classic Solo Albums At Two London Palladium Shows In February

Rick Wakeman has announced two London shows for early 2023.
The former Yes keyboardist will perform three of his solo albums in two concerts at the Palladium on February 22 and 23. Tickets go on general sale at 10am on September 23.
The first date will see him run through his 1973 debut, 'The Six Wives Of Henry VIII', and 1975's 'The Myths and Legends of King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table', while the second date will feature classic tracks from Yes along with a performance of 1974's 'Journey to the Centre of the Earth' LP.
Each night, the 73-year-old will be accompanied by his backing band, the English Rock Ensemble, along with the English Chamber Choir, and a special guest narrator to be revealed at a later date. He said:
"This is one hell of a line-up to have with me, performing some of my music that has somehow managed to survive the last 50 years or so. I never tire of playing these pieces as the music is so adaptable and indeed, there will be surprises at these shows - I might even surprise myself!"
The gigs will follow his Grumpy Christmas Stocking Tour, which takes place this November and December across the UK. Tickets are on sale now.
