Lewis Capaldi Plots 2023 UK And European Arena Tour, Announces New Album

Lewis Capaldi has announced a new album.
The Scottish singer-songwriter will release 'Broken By Desire To Be Heavenly Sent', the follow-up to his 2019 debut 'Divinely Uninspired To A Hellish Extent', on May 19. It will feature his recent single Forget Me.
Explaining how he's not interested in messing with his winning formula, Capaldi said:
“I don't want to create a new sound for myself, or reinvent myself. The songs I want to write are emotional songs, about love or loss."
Discussing the recording process, he continued: “I felt like I was sounding better because I was just chilled out in my own gaff. Also, a lot of this record was made with most of the same people who I worked with on the first one: TMS, Phil Plested, Nick Atkinson and Edd Holloway. At least one of them's on almost every song.”
He'll support the record with a world tour that will head across the UK and Europe in early 2023. It will include arena stops in Leeds, Sheffield, Manchester, Liverpool, Newcastle, Aberdeen, Glasgow, Birmingham, Nottingham, Belfast, Dublin, Cardiff and Exeter between January 14 and February 2.
Following that, he'll kick off the European run on February 13 in Warsaw and conclude it in Munich on March 15. The North American leg will run throughout spring, and he'll head to Australia and New Zealand in July. "I'm ready, and so are the songs," he said.
Tickets for the UK and Europe go on general sale at 9am BST on October 28. Tickets for Australia and New Zealand go on sale the same day at 10am local time. Tickets for the US and Canada go on general sale at 12pm local time this Friday (October 21).
