Orbital have released a new single, Ringa Ringa.

The inventive track serves as the opener of the legendary electronic music duo's upcoming album, 'Optical Delusion', due out on February 17.

Drawing on the similarities between the Ring a Ring o' Roses classic nursery rhyme and the COVID-19 pandemic, it features the haunting vocals of the Mediæval Bæbes singing Ring o' Roses over dance beats and eerie synths effects. Head below to view the Luke Losey-directed video. Orbital's Paul Hartnoll commented:

"It was a track made in the pandemic and I felt a real pull to use the vocal from Ring O'Roses, the original pandemic song from the Middle Ages. It made me feel a connection with all those who suffered before without the help of our modern technology. The music reflects the modern world while The Mediaeval Baebes vocals take us back to the times it has happened before, an old song becomes relevant again."

It'll appear on the record along with the earlier single Dirty Rat, a collaboration with Sleaford Mods.
