Matthew And The Atlas Post Title Track Of Upcoming Album 'This Place We Live'

Matthew And The Atlas has shared the title track of his upcoming album.
With 'This Place We Live' due out through Communion Records on October 13, the introspective acoustic folk track finds Matt Hegarty exploring themes of parenthood, marriage, and dealing with what the world throws at you during a certain stage of life.
Unfurling across an ambient synth-based production by Ali Chant, it follows the previously shared single Nineteen, released in May. Commenting on the new track, Hegarty said:
"[It's] a song about raising a family in the world around us. We live right on the edge of our town in a small house next to a wood full of pine and birch trees and open grassland. We love it there but as the kids have grown I’ve begun to worry more about what we don’t have instead of what we do have.
"It’s been important for me to resist that and make sure I don’t lose sight of what’s important. It’s about the challenges and the beauty of parenthood, marriage and growing together as a family."
The British singer-songwriter will support the follow-up to 2019's 'Morning Dancer' with a UK and European tour in the autumn. Tickets are on sale.
