Erasure vocalist Andy Bell has shared a new track from his upcoming solo album.
Serving up a blend of synth-pop and dark disco, Heart's a Liar features Blondie icon Debbie Harry and will appear on 'Ten Crowns', due out on May 2 via Crown Recordings. Bell said:
"To have Debbie Harry singing with me – you know, I still can’t quite believe it. Debbie gives it this gravitas and this coquettishness, but she’s still very in command. And she recorded her vocals in the studio on Gay Pride, which I thought when I heard it, oh, trust her!"
It follows the record's previously unveiled cuts Dance For Mercy, Don't Cha Know, and Breaking Thru The Interstellar. The album also features guest vocals from Italian-American powerhouse vocalist Sarah Potenza on Lies So Deep.
Bell will support the LP with a previously announced UK and European tour in May and June, ahead of a Dublin show and an appearance at Brighton's Pride On The Park in August. He has also scheduled a North American tour between October 3 to December 13. Tickets for the latter dates go on general sale at 10am local time on Friday (April 25). All other shows are on sale now.
