Tom Odell Teases Upcoming Album 'A Wonderful Life' With New Single Ugly

Tom Odell has shared another track from his upcoming album.
A powerful guitar-led exploration of body image and emotional vulnerability, Ugly builds to an anthemic climax and comes with a video premiering at 5pm BST today (August 8). Introducing the song, Odell explained:
"Something I’ve never really talked about is some of my own weird shame around my body, and it feels so uncomfortable to actually say that in a song. But when you say it, it’s really fucking powerful.
"Ugly is an exploration of what it feels like to be a human being - of looking out at the world and feeling like everybody seems to glide through life so easily, but the experience of actually living it yourself is so fraught and it’s not pretty."
The English singer-songwriter will support the LP with a previously scheduled North American tour in September, followed by UK and European dates between mid-October and early December. Tickets are on sale now.
