Tom Odell has announced a new album and a supporting UK and European tour.
'A Wonderful Life', the follow-up to 2024's 'Black Friday', is due for release on September 5 via UROK/Virgin. Recorded in London, it will feature the previously shared single Don't Let Me Go and the newly unveiled cut Don’t Cry, Put Your Head On My Shoulder. A video for the latter will premiere at 3pm BST today (May 23).
Explaining how the record embodies a spectrum of emotion, Odell said:
“I wish I could wrap it up into a nice little bow of what the mood and the message is, but these songs are the antithesis of that. To live, and to write honestly about it, is such a profoundly important part of my life now. And I feel like if I have any duty whatsoever, it’s just to continue to do that.”
The English singer-songwriter will support the album with a previously announced North American tour, which will follow his run opening for Billie Eilish across Europe later this month and next.
Alongside the album, Odell has also confirmed a UK and European arena tour that will run from mid-October to early November, and begins with stops in Cardiff, Dublin, Belfast, Glasgow, Manchester and London before heading across mainland Europe.
Tickets for North America are already on sale. Tickets for the UK and Europe go on general sale at 10am BST on May 30.
Prior to that, he'll appear at BBC Radio 1's Big Weekend this Saturday (May 23), which will be headlined by Sam Fender.
