Idlewild Tease First Album In Six Years With New Single Like I Had Before

Idlewild have shared another track from their upcoming album.
Serving up their melodic guitar-driven indie-rock sound, Like I Had Before marks the third and final early single from the Edinburgh band's upcoming self-titled LP, their first in six years, following the previously unveiled cuts It's Not The First Time and Stay Out Of Place.
Alongside the song, the four-piece have shared a live performance video of them running through it. Frontman Roddy Woomble said:
"Songs can transmit what they have received with a peculiar force, a force which drives communication deep into the listeners mind. Sometimes I’m asked - which one of your albums is your favourite? This one, or the next one is what I reply."
Idlewild will drop their 10th studio record, and the follow-up to 2019's 'Interview Music', on October 3 via V2 Records. To celebrate, they'll play a series of in-store and outstore gigs, before hitting the road for their first UK tour in six years. Head below for dates.
In the new year, they'll appear at Rockaway Beach music festival in Bognor Regis. Tickets are on sale now.
