Jeff Wayne's Musical Version of War Of The Worlds will tour the UK in 2026.
The production based on the science fiction novel of the same name by H. G. Wells will visit venues in Glasgow, Edinburgh, Dundee, Newcastle, York, Bradford, Oxford, Manchester, Liverpool, Nottingham, Wolverhampton, Bath, London, Plymouth and Swansea between October 9 and 27.
Wayne will not be hitting the road with the tour this time, he explained:
"Performing at concert and theatre venues, the production will give the audiences a different perspective of my musical version, stripping the 'spectacle' of my arena tours back down to its foundation...the music!
For the concert tour, I'll be stepping back from the podium, but the production will showcase exceptional artists from the West End and other major performing mediums, supported by a band, orchestra, animation and other concert elements. It will stand as a true companion to my arena tours."
Tickets go on general sale at 12pm (midday) on November 28.
