Carpenter Brut Teases 'Leather Temple' With New Single Speed Or Perish

Carpenter Brut has shared another single from his recently announced new album.
Fuelled by driving synths and electronic beats, the propulsive Speed Or Perish marks the third preview of 'Leather Temple', due out on February 26.
The French synthwave powerhouse unveiled the concept behind the record last month — introducing Midwichpolis, a post-apocalyptic city risen from nuclear fallout in 2077 — following the release of the title track's Dehn Sora-directed video in December.
He followed that with a second preview in the form of The Misfits/The Rebels, which details the uprising of the Horde, a rebel collective led by Lita Connor, adding yet another layer to the story built into the album.
Speed Or Perish captures the dystopian atmosphere of the Midwichpolis arena, where war machines race against and destroy one another in a death race. Check out the track's Seth Ickerman-directed video, which reflects the relentless, high-octane energy of the track.
'Leather Temple' marks Carpenter Brut's third and final album in his Leather trilogy, following 2022's 'Leather Terror' and 2018's 'Leather Teeth'.
He has several European shows scheduled for March, including a London show at the O2 Shepherd's Bush Empire, followed by a co-headline North American tour with HEALTH later in the spring. He'll also appear at Bloodstock festival in Derbyshire in August. Tickets are on sale now.
Prior to all of that, Carpenter Brut has announced an album release party in Paris at the rock and metal bar Dr. Feelgood Rocket on the night of the record's arrival. There will also be a merch pop-up.
